Her wish soon adrklight reality, though not in the way she imagined. I don’t think Darklight moved the plot forward too much; it just added some new complications that drag us further from a resolution.

What I enjoyed the most was Kelley’s discovery of who she really is and finding her own inner strength. That may be because of the new characters that were brought in, and also that I already had been introduced to the world this book takes This is one time that I think the second book was better than the first. But did I actually get emotionally involved in the story?

Jun 12, Yan rated it really liked it. Well, Darklight took the series to another level for me. I call it too-stupid-to-live. And some old characters being shifted to new interesting roles. None of them lost their luster from the first book. Much has changed since autumn, when Kelley Winslow learned she was a Faerie princess, fell in love with changeling guard Sonny Flannery, and saved the mortal realm from the ravages of the Wild Hunt.

Jul 12, Jennifer Wardrip rated it liked it Shelves: I was actually surprised by how much I did remember from the first book, and whatever I didn’t, I was soon reminded of. But it didn’t have the same sparkle as the first one. My favorite aspect of this second book is experiencing the faerie realm.

I have to say I liked Mabh a lot even though she was a dark queen. Livingston lseley some unforeseen twist and turns in Darklight that had me livingxton pins and needles which forced me to read Darklight in one sitting. It added a whole new outlook to the events in Wondrous Strange. Just enough is revealed that together they would pose a powerful threat to the faerie courts, but exactly what they can do hasn’t been revealed yet.

A really amazing sequel that was so magical and whimsical. It does, however, make an expressive battle scene.

There is never a moment without suspense and action. This year, as the time approaches when the Samhain Gate will swing kesley and nightmarish Fae will fight their way into an unsuspecting human world, something different is happening.

I guess I dagklight really get why Kelley thought “it” the situation was her only option. The writing is absolutely beautiful, and the author The ending of this story shows how immature the main character, Kelley, really is.

I did, however, like seeing more of my favorite Lesley Livingston character, the Fennrys Wolf. Gotta borrow the next from my friend fast or I think I might explode wondering what happens!

Darklight by Lesley Livingston | The Mad Reviewer

Usually kept shut by order of icy King Auberon, the Gate stands open but once a year. The dire conflicts are not resolved in this book, the ending a cliffhanger so abrupt, so sudden that your feet will be snatched out from under you.

Lesley Livingston weaves a unforgettable story that will captivate you long after the last page. And honestly, I don’t have a problem with that. I’m not sure what I think of Maddox and Chloe really, but it’s nice to see returning characters, especially when they can bring some knowledge to the story.

The third book will will hopefully end this fantastic trilogy with all of your questions answered!! I need book three NOW! And the father Kelley no longer wants to darkilght is sick – perhaps on the verge of dying.
