Classic watch

The film version in Cinemascope is one of the key creature features I grew up with. There are a few situations towards the end of the novel where plans for society are debated. Polygamy, feudalism, despotism etc. It’s a shame we don’t have some ham. Day of the Triffids is one of those books that many things that came later owe a debt to.
