Just some simple communication would have cleared up most of the story line. Cop Out was a much better book, while Cover Up is barely held together with a paper-thin, highly improbable plot. After some serious miscommunication between Ivan and Parker, which was totally understandable considering the circumstances, Ivan comes clean about the undercover job and they try to figure out what’s going on.


I skimmed the entire book so this doesn’t even warrant two stars. So, what to do, hmm? I adored u; book and I thank KC for writing such a fun book.

Still to wooden for me with not enough emotion. A swing and a miss. OMG it was awful. You’ve successfully reported this review.

We appreciate your feedback. Join 2, other followers. I felt bad for Parker and his loneliness and wanted to give Ivan a hug for all that he was being put through. This audiobook was provided to me by the publisher through Hearts on Fire Reviews in exchange for an impartial review.

I also worry if Ivan is one of the best detectives, as the truth of what was going on was so obvious at times, it was hard to believe he couldn’t see what was going on. I also loved that his sleep apnea made him very self-conscious.

I did not expect Parker to take Ivan back so quickly. Still, if you are a fan of romantic mysteries, there is much in this novel to i.c.burn. First off, I absolutely love Tristan James, so that made this a fun listen for me from the k.c.bugn.


So… as much as I love this series, the author and the narrator — I find myself unbelievably giving this only a 3 of 5 stars.
