The core rulebook seems to suggest that they only encounter waatchtowers beings during their Awakenings Do they summon them? The Thyrsus chapter wasn’t bad, it was just Classic World of Darkness.

I’m reading Tome of Watchtowers Could you help me out with them? They do what they qwakening to to accomplish their goal. Supernal Demons from Pandemonium and Goetic demons from inside the Mind, representations of your actual inner vices and failings and so on.

All Supernal beings when summoned pose a challenge to the summoner and if that challenge is deciphered and overcome, they owe the mage a service. Wow I wish I had something cool to say here. A Mind mage can summon up these things into a Mind-form.

I’m reading Tome of Watchtowers – Onyx Path Forums

I’ve always thought that their “infernal” connection is purely because they Wake up in Pandemonium – and, aside from that, they are simply Mind mages. One year old stuff vs dacade old, you know In the case of Pandemoniac demons they tend to be or seem to be more hostile to their summoners because it is like the mage is asking for more punishment.

About the Mastigos, specifically. It has quite a few baffling moments. Well, to sum it up: Which is pitty, but coming 2ED corebook will fix this. As to general usability of Tome of Watchtowers – It is good to read it once.

The Path of Scourging is, among other things, about supreme self-knowledge and self-understanding. With a 3-dot spell a Disciple of an Arcanum can summon Supernal beings aligned to his Path. That goes for all, not just Mastigos.

Overall, the Mastigos are weird. There is a sourcebook called Summoners that details the rules for summoning Demons and other things.

The World of Darkness has many different kinds of demons. It should be noted that all of the Paths can summon Supernal entities. It also says that Zoroaster was an Obrimos with a chip on his shoulder. The Fhe of Pandemonium help you in usually unpleasant ways to understand yourself.

I think Supernal Pandaemonium demons are different from demons straight out of hell — or Infernal demons. I only say this because I know Mage rules and cosmology It seemed th in this book rather than an Ascension or Werewolf: Being very aware of your own vices and failings and those of others lends itself to a more “anti-heroic” bearing.

From what ToW says of them, they seem Okay, here’s a question, then: That would make them evil wwatchtowers some people. I don’t remember if it was in the core rulebook. Originally posted by wyrdhamster View Post.

Mastigos as a whole are not so much Evil themselves, as they are simply very aware of their own and other’s capacity for evil.
